Hiking in Western Julian Alps

Around Sella Nevea you’ll find several easy yet iconic scenic trails, including Cima di Terra Rossa, Cima del Lago, and Bila Peč. These well-marked routes feature gentle ascents, broad viewpoints, and minimal exposure, making them ideal for beginners. Their difficulty is generally easy with comfortable terrain and modest elevation gain.

For more experienced hikers, the classic peaks of Montasio, Jôf Fuart, Canin, and Monte Forato offer steeper, more exposed terrain. These summits require good fitness, sure-footedness, and some scrambling, with typical ratings from moderate to difficult.

Sella Nevea is also known for its memorable via ferrata routes: Anita Goitan, Via Amalia, and Via Leva.
